From Coffee to Camp:Port Perry Comes Together to Celebrate Camp Day and Support Youth Dreams

As early as 7 a.m., July 16, 2025, the Tim Hortons outlet on Scugog Street in Port Perry had transformed into a mini-campground, complete with themed decorations and camp-inspired merchandise, all in celebration of the annual Tim Hortons Camp Day.

The outlet buzzed with excitement as staff, customers, and children came together to support a cause close to the heart of the Tim Hortons community, helping underserved youth attend camp. From specially designed Camp Day T-shirts and themed donuts to limited-edition merchandise, the store was fully decked out, evoking the spirit of camp life while offering a festive experience and meaningful ways to contribute.

“We wanted today to feel like a real camp experience for the kids,” said Laura, the store’s 2025 Camp Day Coordinator.

“It’s more than just fundraising, it’s about community, fun, and giving children the opportunity to dream bigger,” added Kim, the store manager.

A highlight of the day featured a light-hearted moment when children gleefully covered the store manager’s face in whipped cream, a playful show of joy and community spirit that drew laughter and cheers from everyone in attendance.

Leading up to Camp Day, the store encouraged customers to support the cause by purchasing Camp Day bracelets, rounding up their orders, or making direct donations. All proceeds go directly to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, which provide life-changing camp experiences for youth from low-income homes across Canada and the U.S.

Through a blend of fun activities, the generosity of loyal customers, and a strong sense of community, the Scugog Street location proudly joined thousands of other Tim Hortons restaurants across the country in making a difference.
