Odogbolu Local Government Celebrates Diamond League Winner, Tobi Amusan

Odogbolu Local Government Area ably led by Hon. Ladejobi Shuaib celebrates one of her youth making us proud in the country and the world.

Recently Oluwatobiloba Ayomide Amusan who represented the country at the recently concluded Tokyo 2020 Olympic games but fell short of a medal at the Olympics.

She was on call again to represent the country in Zürich for the Wanda Diamond League which held in September and emerged victorious, becoming the first Nigerian to win gold at the Diamond League.

In a personal statement by Odogbolu Local Govenment  Chairman,Hon. Ladejobi Shuaib, "As part of the Mantra of the Chairman of Odogbolu Local Goverment "Youth Empowerment and Independence", the administration will engage and encourage youths and teenagers to be active in sport as a way to reduce youth restiveness and idleness".

"We celebrate Miss Tóbi Amusan for making us proud and putting our Nation at the fore front of the 100m hurdles with a win at the finals", he concludes .

It will be recalled that in 2018, the APC youth Leaders of Odogbolu Local Government under the leadership of Hon. Ladejobi Shuaib gave her an Award of Merit for her feat on the track and made her an Ambassador of Athletics in the State.
