We Will Take Our Congress Results To Abuja - Amosun

The former governor and Senator representing Ogun central senatorial district Senator Ibikunle Amosun has expressed his displeasure over the just concluded ward congress across the state.

Speaking at his Ibara residence after the exercise, the former governor accused the incumbent governor Prince Dapo Abiodun of bringing in people from other states to participate at the just concluded ward congress across the state.

"We didn't know where they got the crowd from. We are suspecting they imported crowds from neighbouring states of Lagos and Oyo. They must have handed them party slips. They prevented INEC from witnessing our own congress. We will take our own results to the national secretariat of the party", Amosun vowed.

The former governor who was booed when he paid a visit to African church grammar school which was the venue of the congress of his former ward, Ward 11 Abeokuta North LGA has directed his supporters to remain calm promising that justice will be served at the party secretariat in Abuja.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Ogun State Ward Congress Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Wale Ohu, has declared that there was no parallel election of party executives into the 236 wards throughout the state.

Ohu, who gave this declaration on Saturday evening while briefing newsmen at Ogun State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Iyana Mortuary, Abeokuta, equally submitted that the ward congress was conducted throughout the state without any hitch.
