Wiko, Europe’s Fastest Growing Smartphone Launched In Kenya ,Set To Launch in Nigeria, Southeast Asia

Wiko, the French smartphone brand, is taking its reach beyond Europe and new markets all over the globe are welcoming it, following its entry into South East Asia beginning with Vietnam in August. 

The company announced its next wave of expansion at IFA (the Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin) last week, with September seeing launches in Poland, Nigeria and Kenya. Making its debut in the Gulf region, the United Arab Emirates launch slated for end of the month, followed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in mid-October.

“IFA is a great opportunity for Wiko to demonstrate our complete 3G and 4G smartphone line up,” David Garcia, international business development director of Wiko Global, said at the company’s IFA pavilion.

The  French smartphone manufacturer, Wiko Mobile announced its entry into Kenyan market Wednesday last week(17th September ,2014)  as part of its Africa-entry strategy to boost sales. 

Kenyan consumers are amongst the first in Africa to enjoy the “French touch” experience that has become a phenomenal success story across Europe. Known for its world-class technology, cutting edge design and exceptional product quality, Wiko smartphones are becoming available at mobile phone outlets across the country. 

The company is making inroads in countries where Chinese manufacturers such as Huawei and ZTE dominate, to bring down the price of smartphones.
