Goldberg Connects With Consumers as Fuji T’o Bam III Begins

Goldberg, a lager beer brand from the stable of Nigerian Breweries Plc has flagged off the third edition of its fast rising activation platform, 'Fuji T'o Bam' - a Fuji talent hunt show, set to put the music on the global map.

Fuji T’o Bam is an indigenous music activation platform of Goldberg which has in the last two editions led to the discovery of budding Fuji talents. The winner of the contest which begins in May, will eventually be crowned the "Oni Wura1 of Fuji T’o Bam” in addition to a mouthwatering cash reward of N750, 000.

According to Mr. Kufre Ekanem, the Corporate Affairs Adviser of Nigerian Breweries Plc- the competition which will take place across key cities in South West Nigeria will have notable Yoruba actors, like Sanyeri, Kamilu Kompo, Mr. Latin and Odunlade Adekola gracing the event from the quarter final to the grand finale stages.

Auditions will hold in Ota, Ibadan, Oshogbo, and Akure. Identified talents from the auditions will later converge in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital for the final selection of 30 contestants that will proceed to the quarter final at Ota, Ogun State.

Ilesha in Osun State will host the semi-final. The grand finale which will hold in Ibadan will be an exciting life changing experience for the finalists.

Mr. Kufre Ekanem added that, Fuji music enjoys huge followership especially in the south Western partof Nigeria, which has led the brand to create the platform “Fuji T’o Bam”; “to connect and engage its target consumers.” The music genre thus provides a credible platform for the brand to get closer to them and share their interest.

Highlighting the modalities for the competition, he emphasized that interested talents are expected to participate in audition at centers closest to them. Contestants will have about five minutes each on stage to impress the judges at the auditions in order to get into the contest proper.

It would be recalled that Antenna and Twinzobia Twins, the winners of the first and second editions from Oshogbo and Ibadan respectively, are now doing well in their Fuji careers. “We encourage youths with talent in Fuji to seize this rare opportunity that comes once a year to proof their talents.” Ekanem added.
