NB Plc Voted The Most Active Company in CSR Activities at SERA 2014

Nigerian Breweries hauled a total of four awards at the event including the coveted Most Active Company in CSR Activity of the Year Award.

Nigerian Breweries Plc , the nation’s leading brewing company has been voted the most philanthropic corporate entity in Nigeria for the year 2014. The company dusted fierce competition to win the Most Active Company in CSR Activities of the Year at this year’s edition of the annual Social Enterprise Report and Awards – SERA which held in Lagos at the weekend.
 
Nigerian Breweries Plc. hauled a total of four awards in highly coveted categories including: Best Company in Infrastructure, Best Company in Supply Chain of the Year, CSR Practitioner of the Year and the overall Most Active Company in CSR Activities of the Year thereby making the company the most socially responsible corporate citizen in Nigeria today.
 
Receiving the awards on behalf of the company, the Corporate Affairs Adviser of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Kufre Ekanem, stated that Nigerian Breweries Plc is delighted and humbled to have been voted the socially responsible company in Nigeria by the very critical Nigerian citizenry.
 
“We are delighted to receive this award in recognition of our humble effort in putting something back to a society we are so proud of. More importantly, we are humbled to have been voted the most socially responsible corporate citizen by the very articulate and critical citizens of this great country. This is a worthy recognition and an incentive to encourage us to do more.”
 
Nigerian Breweries received the overall award as the most socially responsible corporate citizen in Nigeria in recognition of the company’s numerous CSR projects and undertakings across the country.
According to the Managing Director of the brewing giant, “Nigerian Breweries will continue to pursue innovative social programmes aimed at lifting the society and enhancing the living standards of the citizenry.
