X3M Ideas Gets AAAN’s Official Certification

Opebi based Lagos agency, X3M Ideas was formally inducted into the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) fold with the official presentation of the association’s certificate with the seal of authority to practice to the Chief Creativity officer /CEO of the agency, Steve Babaeko. 

Making the presentation in Abeokuta at the 40th Anniversary AGM/Congress, the President of the Association, Mrs Bunmi Oke urges the X3M Ideas leadership to uphold the professional ethics guiding the profession.  


Speaking on the development, Babaeko says, “It feels great to be a member of the Advertising Agencies Association of Nigeria (AAAN).  Personally, it shows that we are in compliance with all the laws that govern the industry. Now that everything is in place, we can continue with our business of breaking all creative rules by developing X3Mly interesting concepts for our clients.”

X3M Ideas, an urbane, youthful digital agency has been causing some ripples in the industry for the past nine months of its inception into the industry. 

Babaeko has garnered about 18 years hands-on experience in the industry working on brands in some of the most challenging industries like telecoms, Pharmaceuticals, Foods & Tobacco and some  FMCG brands amongst others. 

He started his advertising career in 1995 when he joined the now defunct MC & A Saatchi & Saatchi working under the tutelage of Victor Johnson.  He worked on brands like DSTV Multichoice for 5 years while with the Troyka holdings company. 

He left MC &A to pitch his tent with the fast paced Lolu Akinwunmi’s Prima Garnet Ogilvy in 2001 as a Copy Writer and rose through the ranks to become Copy Manager.  At Prima Garnet, he also worked on brands like BAT, Multichoice among others and was exposed to some of the best tools and international trainings and exposure in the industry.   

As a talented creative personnel,  Babaeko became part of the pioneering  team seconded to 141-Worldwide, a second line agency in the Prima Garnet Advertising  group in 2005 to give form and shape to the fledgling agency with Babaeko as Creative Director. 

Nine Months ago, Babaeko stepped out of paid employment set up X3M Ideas as revolutionary digital agency of the future.  The agency hit the ground running with major pitch victories.  The agency impressive clientele parades brands and organizations cutting across industries. These include Diamond Bank; Etisalat; IFFCO and Inbisco (FMCGs) 

Apart from its uncanny creative prowess, the agency boasts of a state-of-the-art studio for radio commercials to cut down on turnaround time in a bid to reflect its hunger and readiness to deliever as a nimble and dynamic team of young professionals.
