Globacom’s Regional Director, Marketing Communications (West Africa), Charles Jenarius said the arrival of the new Glo ambassadors at the grand “Glo Pearly Gates”, in the musical video, foreshadows the exciting experience awaiting subscribers on the network through its qualitative services.
He said the TV commercial was a professional collaboration by the best music producers in the country with a good measure of support from the Creative Unit of Globacom and an external production house.
Globacom’s Head of Copy, Ugo Nwachukwu, noted that bringing the colossal talents of the new Glo ambassadors who are youth icons with multifarious musical endowments into one unbeatably harmonious ensemble, was a challenge which the Unit had to face and surmount.
That, he explained, was achieved by principally making a music video that showcases the ambassadors in their full performance glory,as they embarked on the journey to greener pastures and to a better life.
Describing her experience during the shoot of the commercial, as a fascinating welcome to the Glo family for example, Omawumi, one of the ambassadors, expressed the desire to further partner with the telecom brand on future projects, noting that the commercial will go a long way in projecting the brand ambassadors into the limelight.
For Waje, the passion demonstrated during the shoot came out in the final cut of the commercial.
“There was a lot of passion on set, even the extras were amazing. The Glo team also made it such a wonderful experience as they took care of our every need”, she said.
Speaking about the commercial, Glo ambassador, MI described the shoot as very exciting, stressing that its highlight was the level of artistry demonstrated by all the artistes in the video.
“We sang our hearts out and this is bound to resonate with the youths,’ he added.
